and will
be developing
a large
residential
project
with
commercial
space
along
First
Street.
Underground
parking
and multi-story
designs
are being
considered.
Livermore Valley Plaza is thriving with the Livermore Cinema, the Bankhead Performing Arts Center and the new restaurants The Carvery Harry’s Hoffbrau, Simply Fondue, Robek’s Juice, Nestles Toll House Deserts, Star Anise. First floor retail is still available and the City is currently providing some incentives for new tenants.
The Old Railroad Depot Center has been partially demolished to make room for a 2000 seat performing arts center. The entire site will eventually be a mixture of retail, office and residential. The Railroad Café and In Between Stitches Quilt Store will relocate and those structures will soon be demolished.
The Vine Theater is now an Alehouse and Eatery as well as showing great Independent Films. Come check out the selection of beers and wines and order some food from the Zephyr kitchen right next door!
Legg Inc. has purchased the old Red Brick International Auto Bldg at 2551 2nd st. near the Carvery and will be renovating the property as their new headquarters.
The current economic downturn has greatly affected small businesses in Livermore however some like the First Street Alehouse are expanding and relocating.
