Livermore is a city in transition, an exciting new Downtown is taking shape! Construction of a new entertainment center with theaters and fine dining is underway while modern housing developments break ground close by. New businesses are coming to town and all sectors are in growth mode from professional service companies to industrial and technology oriented business models.

What’s new in Livermore?
 
Barry Swenson Builders has purchased the four acre Groth Brothers Dealership site at First and L and will be developing a large residential project with commercial space along First Street. Underground parking and multi-story designs are being considered.
 
Livermore Valley Plaza is thriving with the Livermore Cinema, the Bankhead Performing Arts Center and the new restaurants Round House Grill, Simply Fondue, Robek’s Juice, Starbucks, Star Anise. First floor retail is pretty much spoken for but second floor space is available with lots of office space as well.
 
The Old Railroad Depot Center where Railroad Café is located has 280 residential units planned with 6000 square feet of commercial space, however the current market seems to have delayed the project a bit.
 
Nigg Development nears completion of about 11,000 square feet of office/retail at First and L Street across from the Donut Wheel.
 
Guaranty Bank has opened a new bank at First and M St next to the other new Nigg Building that will soon be occupied by Intero Realty.
 
Several smaller residential projects have broken ground such as at Third and S. Livermore and Second Street near Avenue P.
 
The approximate 5,000 square foot Christmas Store building at 56 S. Livermore behind the Independent Building is available for lease at $2.95 NNN psf.
 
Small office buildings 2500 square feet and under have sold recently for over $500 per square foot as local business owners willingly pay a premium to be downtown!
 
Legg Inc. has purchased the old Red Brick International Auto Bldg at 2551 2nd st. and will be renovating the property as their new headquarters.
